SPIEGLER MOTORCYCLE BRAKE LINES
The brake line has special significance within the brake system.
The brake line has to transfer the braking power with
as little loss as possible. The rubber pipes that are fitted as
standard expand during use; the action point becomes indefinable,
power is lost and the braking distance increases.
The legendary SPIEGLER braided steel brake lines, the core
of which consists of PTFE (Teflon), keeps the action point
and therefore the braking feel constant, even under extreme
duress.
The rider can therefore quickly stop his motorcycle in a
controlled manner. Other positive aspects of this braided
steel pipe, which is suitable for almost any model of motor
cycle, is its almost unlimited durability and protection
from damage of all types.
Tests have underlined the fact that installing SPIEGLER
braided steel brake lines prevents all unwanted brake
squealing because the SPIEGLER braided steel line does not
absorb resonance, like conventional rubber pipes.
Another design advantage lies in the connections. These
have an inner groove in the ring connector so that banjo
bolts from different motorcycle models can continue to
be used without problems.
According to the manufacturer’s information, standard
rubber pipes must be replaced at the prescribed
replacement intervals (approximately every 4 years). You
are therefore not only risking an accident, but the insurer
may not cover the damage.
SPIEGLER brake lines are maintenance free, nonageing
and will last for the lifetime of at least one motorcycle.
SPIEGLER braided steel brake lines are supplied as a
ready-to-install kit for the front and rear and for hydraulic
couplings, or as individual pipes in accordance with your
requirements.
